PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION
The Chilmark PTO works to provide the extras to our school that make us the unique community we have come to be. The Outing Program, although a separate entity, works closely with the PTO and our activities are often intertwined.
The Chilmark PTO performs a host of vital functions including:
-Raising money to support school activities and materials not covered in the budget.
-Planning and implementing programs to support the curriculum
-Sponsoring informational programs
-Providing Class Parents to help share pertinent information

PTO FUNDRAISERS & EASY WAYS YOU CAN HELP!
Winter Fundraiser: Our BIGGEST EVENT
Each winter we host a big fundraiser/dance with live music and one of the best silent/live auctions on the island. Parents are asked to sell tickets, collect auction items, and help with decorations, food and working the event. Collect your auction items early before island businesses close for the season.
Bring your box tops to school and drop them in the container provided. It’s super easy and a great way to help us raise funds.
Stop & Shop / Island Plan Community Giveback Programs
By designating the Chilmark School as your preferred 501c3 on your Stop & Shop card and/or Island Card we receive donations. Please do this!
School Days Propane Receipt Program
If you are a Vineyard Propane customer, (or know someone who is) bring in the page from the propane bill which includes the Community/School Days Receipt and we earn money! You can collect receipts from friends and work as well!
